About this Event
How old are the sea caves and how did they form? Explore and learn with expert geologists from the Geological Survey of NSW.

Important participant requirements:
- This event is for people aged 7+ years . Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
- All attendees at the event require a ticket.
- All participants MUST wear sun smart clothing, hat and enclosed footwear than can get wet (no thongs or Crocs). Bring a water bottle.
- Some surfaces may be uneven and slippery
- The event is free
- In an effort to keep activities COVID-19 Safe, we have decreased the maximum number of people able to attend each activity. Please be considerate and book no more than 2 activities per person across the two week Explore Our Great Outdoors program to give other people in our community the opportunity to enjoy this program too.
- For the safety and well-being of all participants, safe-distancing and social gathering measures will be practiced and contact details for traceability will be kept. All attendees should follow the most recent COVID-19 safe advice from the NSW Government including not attending if you feel unwell, safe physical distancing by keeping 1.5m apart and maintaining personal hygiene by regularly washing your hands.
- This event is for Lake Macquarie City residents, others may be waitlisted.
- Meet on the grassed area in front of Caves Beach Surf Life Saving Club (see below).
- Please provide your mobile number so we can SMS you with an event reminder and/or advise of cancellation. This is the only purpose your number will be used for.
- Council reserves the right to cancel the event if deemed in violation with the most recent safe COVID-19 safe rules.
