Event Details

The Workshop

Kokedama (or mossball) is a green thumb friendly, Japanese sculptural art form. This fun, hands-on plant focused workshop will teach you the skills, tricks and steps to make your own beautiful Kokedema which you will be able to take home to adorn your own space.

You will play around and experiment with different types of plants, mosses and coloured strings to create your sculptural masterpiece as well as learn the basic tools you will need to continue to create these unique pieces at home.

The Presenter

Irene Schneider, founder of Izzie + Queenie, is a multi-disciplinary designer working and exploring in various fields ranging from 2D graphic design to 3D product design, ceramics, plant installations and spatial design projects.

She has run a number terrarium and kokedama workshops for various community groups throughout Western Australia. Outside of her creative design bubble, Schneider is a yogini and teaches hatha vinyasa yoga classes throughout the city.
