Screenwriting workshop
Event Information
Description
This two hour workshop will teach 12-18 year olds the fundamentals of writing a short film script, including how to create a concept, an inciting incident, a three act structure, plus discuss the importance of conflict, character and plot.
Attendees are asked to think about their favourite hero or villain prior to the workshop for discussion, such as a favourite hero/heroine/villain, and why? Why do we love villains so much? Why is it important for the hero to have a flaw? How can a strong villain force the hero/heroine to earn their victory? The workshop will include group discussion, screening of popular movie clips and loads of great filmmaking tips.
This is a great opportunity to get professional help in creating a short film for the Library's Summer Make-it-to-Win-it Challenge, and for the chance to win a $200 cheque.
For 12-18 year olds.
