SCREENING OF THE MAN WHO MENDS WOMEN
Tue. 29 November 2016, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm AEDT
In the Democratic Republic of Congo 1100 women and children are raped daily and 5.4 million people have been killed.
Please join us for an exclusive, private screening of The Man Who Mends Women, the critically acclaimed film about Dr. Denis Mukwege and his landmark Panzi Hospital in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Internationally known for his work to heal the women who have suffered sexual violence in Congo's decades-long war, Dr. Mukwege has risked his life to speak about the root causes of violence against women and ongoing conflict.
Here in Australia we have a growing Congolese population and we must do all we can for those both still in the Congo and those settled elsewhere to become aware of what is going on in their nation.
100% of ticket sales will go directly to the Panzi Foundation.
