The Odd Angry Shot is a 1979 Australian War film which follows the lives of soldiers in Vietnam – away from the Battlefield and then their return to Australia and their reflections on how they and Australian society had changed. His first book, The Odd Angry Shot, was written after his return from the Vietnam War and exit from the army.

Cast includes: Graham Kennedy, John Hargreaves, John Jarratt, Bryan Brown and Graeme Blundell amongst many other well-known actors of the time.

The writer/director and Producer of the film will be present at the screening and will talk with Peter Castaldi afterwards about the making of the film, Australian society at the time, film making from the 70s to now and taking risks in Australian film.
