Event description

Description

An evening of fascinating possum—and poop—facts! Scoop-a-Poop is a citizen science project on urban wildlife coordinated by scientists from Macquarie University in collaboration with Taronga Zoo and the University of Sydney.

Find out how you can contribute to the global fight against antibiotic resistance in a most unusual way: by collecting possum poop!

Discover more about brushtail possums and their ecology, learn about antibiotic resistance, and get involved in this exciting project.

All workshop participants will be given a Scoop-a-Poop collection kit so they can collect samples from their yards (or local park/bushland). Workshop is suitable for ages 10+. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
