Event description

Description

In this two part professional development engagement, we combine the latest thinking, practice and pedagogy, with hands-on activities. This is then followed by a session of collaborative reflective thinking and an opportunity to connect with other educators and experts.

Coding: What, How and Why - Hands-On Workshop

Thursday 1st March 2018

Explore the Digital Technologies curriculum, focusing on coding through a variety of apps and websites. This hands-on workshop looks at loads of free activities you can use to teach coding and computational thinking. The activities range from simple ‘unplugged’ paper-based activities to apps and computer programs. (Suitable teachers P-Y6, Y7-Y10)

**Please bring along your own PC/Macbook**

Coding: What, How and Why - Reflective Session

Thursday 5th April 2018

Join us for a reflection session to share your experience of implementing the ideas in your class and hear from other teachers who've done the same. The most effective professional learning occurs over an extended period of time, in your own context, with opportunities to put into practice what you have learnt followed by reflective thinking.

Your ticket entitles you to attend BOTH sessions.
