SciencePlay Kids Holiday classes 4-10yo (April 2022)
Event Information
About this event
SciencePlay kids classes are designed to encourage 4-10yos to explore science in an accessible, tactile, hands-on way. Each class, run for an hour, has 3 experiments/explorations that foster creative thinking, problem solving, questioning, observing, hypothesising and all things STEM in a fun and MESSY way.
Topic:
Week 1: Our Brilliant Bodies
You only need to come to one class PER week as all classes WITHIN a week are the same (Week 2 is a DIFFERENT topic).
Our Brilliant Bodies: Come and explore how amazing your body is. We will be investigating how we interact with the world through our senses, exploring how our brains work and making a model of the digestive system (complete with munching teeth, squashing stomach and a long gooey intestine….. there may even be some fake poo involved).
Week 2: Climate Crusaders
You only need to come to one class PER week as they same.
Climate Crusaders: how can we make energy in a sustainable and planet friendly way? Join us to explore kinetic energy and how we can use it to generate electricity. You will get to build your own tiny home powered by green energy. Then will look to future and explore bioplastics.
Come along and get your science on!!
