Description

Are you fascinated about the world around you, how it works, and our place in it? Georges River Libraries will host free screenings of SCINEMA international science film festival films during National science week. Now in its 14th year, SCINEMA showcases science features, shorts, documentaries, and animated and experimental films from filmmakers around the world.

Expect tales told through the power of the moving image about the long slog and occasional thrill of discovery, the awesome scale of our universe, the beauty of nature, environmental challenges that we face on our planet, and how technology will shape our future.

National science week runs 12-20 August 2017. SCINEMA is presented by Australia’s Science Channel.
