Event description

Science Space Wollongong is delivering a month filled with Pink Floyd shows in September. This month's featured album is Dark Side Of The Moon.

From dramatic, fulldome interpretations of “Wish You Were Here” and “The Wall” to the ever-popular “Dark Side of the Moon” planetarium show, don’t get too “Comfortably Numb.”

In this limited series of showings, Pink Floyd provides the ultimate aural environment for exploring inner and outer space. Within the planetarium chamber, the experience is enhanced with digital animation, millions of stars, and brilliant immersive imagery. This Up Late feature timeless music in an audio-visual immersion, inspired by the music of Pink Floyd, featuring the entire 1973, 'Dark Side of the Moon' album, ‘The Wall’ album and ‘Wish You Were Here’ album in glorious 5.1 surround sound.

The visuals were created by Starlight Productions in the U.S and are being brought back to Australia by Science Space this September for the first time in over 10 year! The program’s creator, Aaron McEuen at Utah-based Starlight Productions, says it’s “like having headphones for your eyeballs.”
