Event description
Hear from leading scientists about how their research is making a difference to the sustainability of our aquatic resources.

About this Event

Keen to know more about sustainable fishing? Interested in finding out what methods and technologies are being used to support recreational and commercial fisheries in Western Australia? Come along to the Science for Sustainability public seminar to learn about all this and more.

Launched by the Marine Stewardship Council in 2018, Sustainable Seafood Week aims to encourage sustainable seafood choices among Australia consumers. In line with this year’s theme Sea the Future, this event will showcase some of the science underpinning sustainable fisheries management.

Join research scientists from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and representatives from the Marine Stewardship Council, Recfishwest, the Western Australian Fishing Industry Council, and Austral Fisheries for a night of engaging presentations.

Light refreshments will be provided after the seminar, which are expected to conclude around 8pm.
