The Science Alive! STEM Day Out will be presented for the first time in Geelong this year!
9am - 3pm, Friday 24 May 2019
GMHBA STADIUM, GEELONG
The day is closed to the general public and FREE to all students in years 7-10 in organised school groups, giving students a chance to preview the spectacular science shows before the public and meet face to face with energetic young scientists and engineers already in the industry.
Don't let your students miss out on an opportunity to engage with representatives from Deakin University, The Gordon, Geelong Tech School, Museums Victoria, Scienceworks, Naval Group, APPEA, and many more!=
With strong representation from the resource and defence industries, health science industries, ICT, animal science, astronomy, engineering, biology, robotics and electronics, the 2019 STEM Day Out serves to highlight the diversity of science and engineering careers.
The day features a wide range of science-related exhibitors, activities and experiences! At the 2019 STEM Day Out, your students will be able to:
- Get hands on with Australia's next generation of submarines, interactive robot displays, and Questacon's Science on the Move and Fascinating Science exhibitions.
- Take a journey through our solar system with VR.
- Get up close with Bugs n Slugs invertebrate displays and dinosaur bones from Museums Victoria.
- See a showcase from budding science and technology entrepreneurs from Runway Incubator.
- Take part in drone workshops.
- Watch our Explosive Science Show and much more!
