Intermediate Course - Bucket Hat

Thursday January 27th,  10am -2.30pm. (30 min lunch break).

Classes are only open to fully vaccinated children 12 years and over.

If you have already completed day one and two of the beginner's course or have similar experience, you can progress to intermediate!

In the intermediate course, you will get to practise more on the sewing machines and sew your own Bucket Hat!

Lessons are run in the new cool Sew This Pattern Studio in Elsternwick.

The maximum number of students is six so each student will get personalised instructions and plenty of time to practice on the sewing machines supplied.

50cm Main Fabric

50cm of Lining Fabric

50cm of Lightweight Iron on Interfacing

One spool of polyester thread to match

Suggested fabrics:

Denim, canvas, cotton drill, other medium/heavy weight structured wovens. 

The above fabric suggestions are for both the main and lining fabrics. If you use a lighter weight lining fabric, we will need to interface the brim for added structure. 

Fabric can be purchased from Spotlight, Lincraft or most fabric stores. Take this list and ask for help instore if you are unsure. Please wash and dry your fabric before the class to eliminate any shrinkage.

Please provide allergy-free snacks, lunch and water bottle for your child. Also, make sure your child is wearing closed-toe shoes. (no sandals or thongs).

Vaccination certificate will be required for anyone entering the premises. You can add your digital certificate to the Service Victoria app so that when you check in to the studio it will give you a green tick. If you don't have a smartphone, you can provide a printed certificate. If you have a medical exemption you will need to provide a medical certificate from an approved practitioner.
