School Holiday Program- Japanese Calligraphy -Ages 12 plus
Overview
Discover the beauty of Japanese calligraphy (shodō), and learn about Kakizomethe, first writing of the new year that celebrates fresh beginnings. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use traditional brush and ink, explore the meanings of kanji, and create your own 2026 calendar featuring a kanji character that inspires you, a unique artwork to take home and display.
Important things to note:
• Parents and guardians must remain with children under the age of 12 during sessions.
• If you have booked a session and can no longer attend, please call to cancel so others are able to attend.
• Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds as all material and equipment will be purchased in advance however, you can pass on your ticket to a friend.
By attending this event you consent for you, and any persons you are responsible for, being photographed and/or filmed and agree that the Mount Barker Council may use the resulting photographs and film for promotional purposes, including by publishing them in print and other media.
