Event description

Description

Lea Taylor is an award winning Nyoongar Weaver/Artist from the Wadandi/Minang Nations of the South West. In Lea’s workshops she uses a variety of natural materials, including natural raffia, hand dyed raffia, natural string (Jute), paper raffia hay and foraged bush materials.

Girls are supported and encouraged in this 2 hour workshop to value their strength and creativity, while also engaging in traditional Aboriginal women's business.

The class is traditionally for women only, however, the boys don't miss out on all the fun! Boy's only didgeridoo classes are running at the same time at the WACC

**Due to popular demand, we have added a second, earlier class. Please check your ticket if you unsure which class your child is booked for**

Classes run from 10am - 12pm and 1pm - 3pm

Please arrive ten minutes early, as late comers will not be able to participate.

We encourage girls to wear suncreen and to bring a drink.

For ages 7 - 16
