Description

Banyule Community Health Health Promotion Team and Dental Team invites you to a FREE Healthy Schools Banyule Professional Learning Forum: Save a Tooth: Responding to dental trauma in schools.

The majority of dental trauma occurs at school, with teachers often the first person to respond. Dental trauma is an important oral health problem in childhood, with broken teeth and the loss of teeth being extremely common. The Save a Tooth Program aims to create an awareness and develop an understanding amongst teaching staff on how to manage common dental injuries that may occur at school and where to refer students.

The forum is open to Teachers, Leadership, School Nurses, Wellbeing Staff and parents. We recommend at least two people from your school attend the forum to ensure the sustainability of information delivered within your school community.

For more information please contact healthyschoolsbanyule@bchs.org.au or Jane Casey (Mon-Wed) on 9450 2642 or Madalene Ignatiadis (Mon, Wed, Thurs) on 9450 2641.
