Saturday movie - Moruya Library
Overview
Join us for our Saturday matinee screening of a Mel Brooks classic, starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder.
Max Bialystock (Zero Mostel) is a washed-up Broadway producer forced to romance old ladies to finance his plays. When timid accountant Leo Bloom (Gene Wilder) is brought in to do his books, he inadvertently reveals to Bialystock that, under the right circumstances, a producer could make more money with a flop than a hit.
Bialystock cajoles Bloom into helping him achieve this and together they come up with what they consider to be a sure-fire disaster waiting to happen - a musical version of Adolf and Eva’s love story entitled “Springtime for Hitler”. But is it possible that they might have the most unlikely hit of all time on their hands?
Enjoy the film, light refreshments, and a chat afterwards. Due to licensing restrictions, we cannot advertise the movie name. Ask our friendly library staff for more information.
Moruya Library closes at 12.30pm on Saturdays. Access to the Moruya Library & Arts Centre (BAS) is via the public car park at the back of the library, off Murray Street. There is ramp access from the car park to the entry.
Cost: free
