ABOUT THE EVENT
Welcome to the Sydney Adventist Hospital 2016 San RunforLife.
The San RunforLife returns on Sunday 13 November. No matter what your running ability is, you can take part as a team with friends and colleagues, or bring your family for the 5km walk.
Participants will have the choice of a 5km or 10km course, with the 5km including walk or run options. Walkers are not permitted to enter the 10km event. The course 10km course consists of a two-lap 5km course. This should prove popular with spectators. The San Foundation hopes to attract close to 1500 individual, family, school, elite, and social walkers and runners in the 2016 event.

All race bibs MUST be collected on race day Sunday 13 November - NO race bibs will be posted out to participants. So please arrive in time to collect your race bib prior to your race briefing.

5.30am Registration Opens for Race bib collection, Village Green
6.50am Race Briefing for 10km Runners, Start line
7.00am 10km Run Starts
8.50am 10km Run Finished
8.50am Presentation / Prizes for 10km Event Run, Village Green
8.55am Race Briefing for 5km Runners and Walkers, Start line
9.00am 5km Run Starts
9.05am 5km Walk Starts
9.50am 5km Run finished, Finish line
10.00am 5km Walk finished, Finish line
10.15am Presentation / Prizes for 5km Run, Village Green
10.30am Course Clear
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in the 5km run and 10km run. First place prizes will be awarded to each School Category - Primary (K-6), Junior Secondary School (Yr7-8) and Senior Secondary School (Yr9-11).
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event without notice should they consider this necessary for safety reasons
Each competitor will compete on the approved course as directed, will not accept outside assistance and will accept the organisers’ decision as final
The organisers reserve the right to reject or cancel any entry at any time
No refunds of entry fees
No obstruction is to be caused to the movement of vehicular traffic. Supporters must not follow competitors
The only vehicles permitted to follow the event are Police and Official cars
All participants must follow the directions of race officials, marshalls, police officers and SES officers and follow the course as marked. You must make way immediately for all emergency vehicles, including Police, SES, Fire Brigade and Ambulance
The organisers reserve the right to alter without notice any of the Race Rules which govern the event
In the event of a tie, the tied competitors will be placed in ascending order of their race numbers
The 10km event is for runners only. Walkers are permitted to enter the 5km event.
