It was so good to be social dancing again in November at our Welcome Back SOS.

It had been such a while since we'd been able to get together for a Salsa on Saturday, finally we did it, we had such a great time! With restrictions further easing in the ACT we are able to social dance again in December. For our December and Christmas SOS we invite you to wear your most fun RED outfit! Jacket, pants, dress, skirt...whatever it is just make sure its RED!

We are beyond excited to announce that for our Christmas edition SOS we are partnering with Salsamania and Bachateame! These are two of Sydney’s largest social dance events hosted by some of Australia’s top Latin DJ’s. They are coming to Canberra to share with us their love for Latin Dance and music! Who won the jackpot? Canberra! That’s who 😆

Their passion for Latin music and dance guarantees that you will have a social dance night curated to the moment which will leave you, at the end of the night, wanting more. Their Dj’s spend countless hours digging up the best tunes for their dancers pleasure and they cannot wait to party up with all of us.

So on the 12th of December come and be blessed (in this blessed season) with the best Salsa, Bachata AND Chachacha. Oh and a little birdy told us we will also have a number of excellent dancers out of town dancers in town to social dance with us as well.

DETAILS:

-We’ll be at the Austrian Club in Mawson for our COVID safe get together.

-Workshop commencing at 6pm with our super awesome guest instructor Felix Ben from Latin Junction. He’ll be teaching an On1 Salsa workshop.

-Social dancing commences at 7pm all the way through till 11:30pm.

There are a number of conditions in place for social dancing which we must adhere to in order to run our event. These are outlined below. They may also change between now and the event date, we will keep you updated.

Attendees will be required to wear a wrist band which will be issued upon entry to help ensure the people who have pre purchased their tickets are those at the event and to help us adhere to the per square meter rules.

There will be no door sales for tickets, all tickets MUST be pre purchased.

There will be 3 publicly available ticket types.

1-Workshop Only - $17

2-Social dancing only - $17

3-Workshop and Social dancing - $27

Conditions of Entry, all attendees must, while attending our event:

*Sign in to the club

*Provide photo ID at sign in

*Wear the staff issued event wristband

*Consume any food or alcohol while seated and possibly in a separate area to the dancing

*Display respect and kindness to fellow attendees, club and SOS staff

*Adhere to COVID safe practices as directed by event organisers and Club staff

*Photos and videos may be taken at the event and used for promotional purposes

*SOS is a not for profit community event

*SOS and Club staff reserve the right to refuse entry or request patrons to exit the club and/or event should they not be willing to abide by these conditions

*Ticket sales close at 11:59pm on Friday 11th December unless sold out prior
