SAGE Athena SWAN Focus Group: Senior Women (ST LUCIA)

All senior academic women, including casuals, are invited to participate in a focus group discussion to contribute to the development of the University’s SAGE Pilot of Athena SWAN action plan.

The senior women’s focus group will cover topics such as:

• your perceptions of gender-based barriers and challenges that women can face at different career stages;
• your views on why so few women progress to senior levels of STEMM disciplines;
• personal strategies for success that you have employed to progress to your current position;
• advice that you would offer to mid-career academic women in STEMM who seek career progression; and
• ideas about what UQ can do to enhance the numbers of senior women in STEMM disciplines.

The small-group format focus group discussion will encourage respectful discussions across a broad range of views.
