SafeWork NSW if offering a FREE VIRTUAL event, designed to provide solar retailers a better understanding of their Work Health and Safety obligations when engaging solar installers.

The virtual event will provide further information on how to manage the following risks

• falling off a ladder
• falling through a brittle roof – such as a skylight
• falling off the edge of a roof
• contact with electricity.

The event is designed for anyone who:

• Sells solar photovoltaic systems or engages others to install them
• Those who install the systems

Business’s involved in the design, manufacture, sale, installation and maintenance of Solar panel photovoltaic systems have obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act NSW 2011 & Work Health and Safety Regulation NSW 2017 to keep their workers and others (such as the home-owner) safe.
