Event description
This "First Responder" training provides practical strategies to manage Autism and other Neurodevelopmental challenges.

About this Event

This 'First Reponder' workshop provides an in-depth look at safety, crime, and forensics related to Autism and other neurodevelopmental challenges. Case examples highlight real-life situations with regard to behavior, interviews, social interactions, sensory triggers, decision making, and the many misconceptions about Autism.

Whether the individual is a victim, witness, or suspect of a crime, participants will learn to recognize a meltdown, de-escalate a situation, and interact accordingly when encountering an individual in crisis who may be stimming, hallucinating, naked, or wandering.
