Description

This seminar is for those working with infants and toddlers or those interested in learning about the Safe Sleep Space approach.

Founded in 2008, and known for its gentle, response-based approach, Safe Sleep Space is an early parenting consultancy group, specialising in sleep and settling of newborns, infants and toddlers.

The Safe Sleep Space approach is informed by understandings from Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Family Therapy, Neuroscience and the Psychodynamic Fields; and is coupled with experience and the understandings of infant/toddler and adult mental health.

Topics covered will inlcude:

  • Baby Sleep

  • Safe Sleeping Practices

  • Why using an infant mental health approach to sleep works

  • Concepts of Circle of Security® model

  • The role of technolody in the parent-child relationship and how this impacts on sleep
