A one-day retreat brought to you by Miamba Health and supported by Taungurung Clans Aboriginal Corporation

Experience the wonders of bush healing and back-to-being techniques in a nature retreat sure to be a highlight of your Australia tour!

This retreat is for you if you are:

- a visitor to Australia looking for an off-the-tourist trail, immersive experience

- interested in learning natural ways to alleviate the stresses of everyday life

- keen to discover an innovative way of approaching health care and wellbeing

- looking for a rich experience of indigenous culture and its wellness ways

On this one-day event, you will experience ancient indigenous wisdom, smoking ceremony, sacred spaces scar trees, and a holistic healing journey, bush herbs and tucker, within the spectacular High Country of Victoria.

Here's what we'll do:

We learn about natural native Australian herbs, bush remedies, and ancient arts and practices. These practices are 60 000 years old and been proven by science to work.

We uncover our unique inner resources and skills through shared experiences and sacred spaces.

We come to know our inner Being and begin a conversation about nature, nurture and reverence.

We give you ancient sacred spaces to explore knowledge, wisdom, tools and the resources needed for you to unlock the magic of ‘Being in the spirit of good health’.

About your guides

Julie Richardson (Miamba Health)

Julie Richardson is an award-winning wellness facilitator who uses natural solutions and science-based resources to help people experience harmony, health and happiness in their lives. She created the Sacred places nature retreat tour and Back-to-Being Indigenous program as a way to share the sacred gifts and promote harmony for a better world. Julie has been a health therapist for more than 20 years.

Shane Monk (Taungurung Clans Aboriginal Corporation)

Shane Monk, your tour guide, is a Taungurung man and a Traditional Owner of the country through which we will travel. His mother was one of the founding members for TCAC which was established in 2003. Shane has been immersed in cultural camps from a very young age and for the last 18 years has been serving the community working as a cultural and natural resources officer Shane is passionate about sharing the wisdom of his culture. His love of country and stories will leave you inspired.

When: Saturday, 3 November 2018 for an 8am start. We get started bright and early to make sure we experience the best light and colour of the day.

Where: We meet at the beautiful Peppers Hotel, 21A Station St, Yea, Victoria AT 8AM

We enjoy a light continental breakfast, introduction and presentation by our tour guide Shane Monk before heading off in our comfy bus to our first sacred site for our smoking, healing and welcome to country ceremony.

We return from our tour by 6pm.
