He has a deep respect of ancient indigenous medicines, traditions and protocol and has spent most of his life travelling and working around the world learning and growing his skills and knowledge as an artisan, Iyengar yoga practitioner and learning tradition, ritual and prayers from his Maori ancestry. Dean's linage and direct ancestry comes from chiefs, warriors, healers and storytellers and he has a deep passion to continue learning more from Maori healers and other indigenous healers. Dean has been trained by one of the world masters of Kambo, Karen Kanya-Drake, who has trained around 130 practitioners and is dedicated to helping indigenous peoples reunite with their tribal medicine and developing powerful treatment protocols for people with cancer, HIV, depression, chronic fatigue and pain. She is a master practitioner, principal trainer and part of the governing body of the International Association of Kambo Practitioners - www.iakp.org. It is a great honour to be at service to this medicine and to be have been trained by Karen as part of the IAKP.
