SACAL Annual General Meeting 2016

Time: 5.30 pm for complimentary drinks and nibbles
6.00pm AGM followed by guest speaker and dinner

The WADVS “Pathways to Education – bringing the classroom to the shelter” pilot program won Program of the Year at the Adult Learners’ Week 2016 awards. This award is sponsored by SACAL.
Pathways to Education is a collaboration between Women’s Safety Services SA (formerly Central Domestic Violence Service) and Women’s Education TAFESA.
The Pathways to Education Pilot Program was designed specifically for women affected by domestic and family violence, experiencing or at risk of homelessness and financial abuse to engage in foundation studies to move towards enrolment in TAFESA Women’s Education and/or further education and study. The program was run onsite at Western Adelaide Domestic Violence Service and Limestone Coast Domestic Violence Service to provide women with support and safety.
1. Confirm the minutes of the previous AGM held at The Maid & Magpie Hotel, 1 Magill Rd, Stepney, 29 October 2015
2. Receive and adopt an annual report from the Executive
3. Receive and adopt the audited accounts of SACAL
4. Elect Executive Committee for 2016 - 2017
a. Nomination forms must reach SACAL by post at SACAL c/- CEASA Level 1 Education Development Centre, Milner Street HINDMARSH 5007 by Friday, 14 October 2016 or be handed to the President prior to commencement of the AGM
b. Financial SACAL members are eligible to nominate and vote for the Executive
c. A maximum of 10 Executive members can be elected at the AGM
d. Office bearers of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are elected at the first ordinary meeting of the new Executive, to be held immediately after the 2016 AGM.
