Event description
A story of transformation and hope in a time of turmoil and terror

About this event

Sometimes from great turmoil, great character is forged. Discover the amazing true story of Sabina Wurmbrand, an ambitious, atheistic, hedonist girl who became one of the great women of Christianity in the 20th Century. Set in the crucible of war-torn World War II Romania, the movie opens with our hero risking her life to help a trio of Nazi soldiers. Why would she risk her life to help the very army that killed her whole family? This true story of Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand takes us through a topsy-turvy adventure of romance, faith and sacrifice that answers that life-defining question.

*Limited tickets available due to auditorium capacity.

For those attending the Church movie session a light lunch will be served prior to the screening at 11:30am and a collection will be taken up at the end of the movie screening to support the work of Voice of the Martyrs.

Organiser Voice of the Martyrs Australia

Organiser of Sabina - Tortured for Christ, the Nazi Years

Voice of the Martyrs exists to help, love and encourage persecuted Christians by providing Bibles, ministry resources, medical aid and practical assistance.

We are an international evangelical mission working with partner organisations to support the persecuted church in over 68 restricted countries.

Our ministry is inspired by Hebrews 13:3, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them – those who are mistreated – since you yourselves are in the body also.”

We support Christians who are or have been persecuted for their faith and involvement in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a hostile environment. We give their testimony a voice, informing and mobilising Christians in Australia to stand with their persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ.

We believe that the lives and testimony of persecuted Christians is a vital part of the fellowship of all believers and can challenge and strengthen the faith of God’s people everywhere.
