What's on the agenda?

This session is all about hips. We all have them, we all use them.

The most common musculoskeletal presentation for GP’s is hip pain. Painful hips can be incredibly debilitating – impacting our sleep, daily function and overall quality of life.

What are the best postures for hip pain?

Is “hip opening” good?

...Or should you strengthen them?

...And how should we do this?

This session is specifically designed for Yoga teachers to better understand the function of the hip. Yoga teachers are interacting with students on a daily basis, many of whom arrive at their classes already carrying various injuries, aches and pains. A yoga teacher may well be the first person an injured student asks about their pain. Keeping up to date with best practice for a variety of common conditions is important for Yoga Teachers in order to prevent injury and promote health and wellbeing in our clients.

Come to this interactive session and learn how to identify the possible pathology related to the signs and symptoms of hip pain. Find out what the right advice is and what modifications you need to consider for your students affected by hip pain.
