SA IT-041 Launch Event

This Australian launch event will introduce the newly released ISO/TS 23635 Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies — Guidelines for Governance.

The event will feature Professor Roman Beck, global project leader for the ISO project on Governance of Blockchain and DLT as part of ISO TC/307. Prof Beck will introduce ISO/TS 23635 and where it fits in the current Blockchain standards. The discussion will focus on the key aspects of ISO/TS 23635, exploring

• the importance of good governance for blockchain and DLT systems
• an overview of the newly released guidelines and how to incorporate them into blockchain and DLT development and adoption
• the surrounding thinking that guided the standard development process
• the process being followed to incorporate ongoing feedback into standard
• identify future areas being considered for addition into the standard

The main presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A featuring Prof Beck, and Australian standards working group members Dr Gayan Benedict and Dr Mark Staples.
