Description
The Gold Battery was erected in 1908 and its purpose was to crush quartz to extract gold.
See the unusual occurence of the battery in action with members of the Historical Society at the times of 11am, 12pm and 1pm on the Saturday and Sunday of Rutherglen Corowa Unlocked.
It consists of a five head battery, Wilfrey table, Bergin pan, portable steam engine and shed.
