Attendees will gain practical administrative tips for implementation of a new or review of an existing insulin pump service at their workplace.

Please note that clinical aspects of pump functionality will not be addressed in this workshop.

Diabetes Educators are eligible to claim 4 CPD points toward ADEA credentialling.

Topics will include:

  • Fundamentals of running an insulin pump service and structuring appointments

  • Preparing your client for an insulin pump

  • Engagement with insulin pump company representatives

  • Equipment, checklists and resources

  • Paperwork including pump application forms and health insurance documentation
