rTMS Advanced & Refresher course for healthcare professionals currently using rTMS in their practice (students welcome).
Practical and theoretical training day for healthcare professionals currently using rTMS in their practice (students also welcome).
In this training workshop, participants will refresh their knowledge of rTMS delivery following evidence-based protocols for treatment-resistant depression and OCD. Furthermore, participants will learn the theoretical background and coil placement for off-label application of an escalation protocol used over the orbital-frontal cortex (OFC).
All training is completed on devices approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Learning components covered in the training day include:
- Finding the Motor Threshold
- Preparing the patient and marking the DLPFC
- Marking the SMA
- Placing the coil over left DLPFC
- Placing the coil over SMA
- Theoretical background for OFC stimulation
- Marking and placing the coil over the OFC
Workshops are hosted by Dr Trevor Brown (Neuroscientist, Global Academy Manager, neurocare group) and colleagues.
