CEO Royal Flying Doctor Service (QLD)
Nino Di Marco has been the CEO of the Qld Section of the RFDS since April 2006. In this role, Nino is responsible for 400 staff, including pilots, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and support services providing a range of aero-medical and primary health care services across Qld. Nino is responsible to the Board of Directors and for a budget of $90m.
In this presentation, Nino will provide an overview of RFDS nationally, including its history, organisation and finance. He will then describe the Qld Section, including details of its aircraft, types of operations, operational and maintenance challenges (such as kangaroo strikes!), and lessons learnt. Nino will also talk about future technology opportunities, such as infra-red systems, communications equipment and clinical care technologies, and about careers. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.
