About this event

Join Rose Bassett as she delivers a night in colour, celebrating her original music alongside her incredible band and signature charm.

As an artist, Rose has worked hard to curate a sound reflective of her musical upbringing and love of lyrical expression. Heavily influenced by her background in jazz vocal training and Australian folk, Rose’s powerful, striking voice is a defining feature of her music, demonstrating versatility in style, tone, and range across her music. A queer artist originally from rural Victoria (Benalla - Yorta Yorta and Taungurung Country), Rose made the move to Melbourne/Naarm to immerse herself amongst the creative community. Alongside her constant admiration for dogs, Rose has maintained a love for hiking and the outdoors, drawing upon moments in the bush to reground and centre herself.

With her debut release, Winning the Lottery, added to Triple J Unearthed rotation and the hitlist of The Hoist - SYN media, Rose is making her mark on the Australian music scene. After selling out her single launch and opening for Josh Pyke at the Corner Hotel, Rose is excited to take the stage again, bringing a collection of original music that will knock even the strongest of socks off.

Rose is excited to having Madi Colville Walker and Ellen James joining her on the stage, promising a beautiful evening of music.

We live, work and play on land that was forcibly taken from Aboriginal people. There has been no Treaty with the First Nations of this place and the effects of colonisation continue to this day. We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, on whose land this event will take place. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded.
