About this Event

Coastal Promotions is extremely proud to presents: Rolling Deep 4 (A Showcase of Drum and Bass - The Grand Finale)

Tickets Release Wednesday 30th October at 6:00 pm

The fourth and final installation in our Rolling Deep series sees us bring it back to Auckland, the city of sails and the hometown of Coastal Promotions. Rolling Deep has been monstrous this year, selling out shows across Wellington, Wanaka and Dunedin. This December we make our long awaited return to the legendary Pointers, with a hand selected lineup of the top teir student & underground Drum and Bass acts from all corners of the country.

After a sell out Heavy Rollers 4 last December, we knew bringing it back to the Summer calendar was essential! This time we have changed things up with a new larger capacity venue and strictly underground/student DJ’s to stay true to the Rolling Deep ethos of showcasing the depth of talent we have within New Zealand.

Rolling Deep purpose is to showcase that talent all over the country, taking the bedroom DJ’s outside of the flat party’s and on to the live stage. Now we take it to one of the epicentre of DnB and show them what all the fuss is about. Come support your mates and fellow heads as they excel their careers to the next level.

Law

One of Totara Records front-men and Lord of the jungle, Law is also playing his first ever headline set in Auckland. Renowned for closing out sets that keep the place rammed to the bitter end, Law is ready to switch things up with a prime time versatile set covering the multiple spectrums and sub-genres of Drum and Bass. Law is also Totara Records head MC with bars and flows like no tomorrow. He knows how to control the crowd and will be on and off the mic throughout the night.

Shortball

Hailing from Christchurch, Ed ‘Shortball’ Hone has recently cemented his name in the New Zealand Drum and Bass Scene. The kid’s born and bread on CDJs and knows how to keep the people partying! His last 3 years in Dunedin have seen talent discovered in UniCol flats, evolve into a more serious pursuit.

Having now supported world-class acts such as Danny Byrd, Tokyo Prose, Annix, DC Breaks, Loadstar, Rene LaVice & Bensley, he’s also performed in support of many local legends including Trei, Truth, and State of Mind. A member of Half Time Oranges since it’s inception, recent times have seen him touring the country as part of the formidable Coastal Collective. ShortBall is North Island bound, with Auckland being the final destination. Expect a comprehensive set spanning all genres of the Drum and Bass spectrum, in an intimate show that’s bound to get the people bumpin’.

This Auckland/Wellington duo are well known in the local music/event scene having played numerous venues across Wellington. They have opened up for Logistics, Delta Heavy, Fred V and Grafix, Skeptical and the Prototypes. They are the third and final act holding down headlining duties for the night. They will perform an unforgettable B2B set that is reminiscent of duos such as Camo and Krooked, however still keeping that classic Chop’D UP sound.
