Event description

Description

Founded in 2007, the Victorian Roller Derby League (VRDL) has established itself as a powerhouse on the world Roller Derby scene. In 2017, the VRDL All Stars team travelled to Philadelphia to become the first team from outside of the USA to win the World Women’s Flat Track Derby Association Championships. They are currently the worlds #1 ranked Flat Track Roller Derby team.

As part of International Women’s Day 2018, The Ewing Trust, Yarra Libraries, and The Victorian Roller Derby League invite you to join members and supporters of the VRDL All Stars, and hear them talk about the origins of the VRDL, the importance of inclusion and diversity in the local roller derby scene, and the passion and sacrifice required for the VRDL All Stars team to become World Champions. All ages welcome.

This event will be AUSLAN supported.

Bookings essential. You do not need to bring a ticket with you to this event.
