About this event
Rocketry is a great way to engage your students in STEM & Physics! Explore Rocketry from the basic working principals of rocketry with Newton's Laws of Motion to the Conservation of Momentum, Kinetic Energy Equations, Calculation of Impulse and more.
Learn how to build and launch your own rocket in this workshop. The price of the workshop includes everything you need to build and launch your first rocket "The Flash". Learn how to operate the Launch Controller and safely launch rockets.
The workshop also includes how to build custom rockets and use the program OpenRocket to CAD draw up the rockets. This is essential for running simulated launches to calculate the predicted apogee based upon the mass of the rocket, the motor being used and the aerodynamics of the rocket.
The safety of launching rockets will also be covered in this workshop.
Each attendee will also get to keep the custom rocket that they build on the day.
Components included in the price of the workshop.
- The Flash Rocket Kit* (Includes Launch Stand, Launch Controller & Rocket) or similar launch kit
- 6 packs of B6-4 Rocket Motors (18 Motors total}
- 2 packs of Pro-Series Wadding (216 squares each)
- Custom rocket that will be built on the day and drawn up in OpenRocket
- 1 x Bulk Pack of 12 Loadstar 2 Rockets.
