Robotics Operation Nekton Prime - 6 sessions
Event Information
About this Event
Welcome to Nekton Prime!
The Galactic Fleet has sent a space station to a sector of the Andromeda Galaxy to establish research bases on newly discovered planets. Alpha Squad is responsible for the most Earth-like of these planets, the largely watery world of Nekton Prime. The squad is made up of teams, each with a critical role to play in completing its mission of establishing a secure supply line on the planet’s surface, ensuring the teams survival and to conduct important scientific research. But there are alien threats on this planet.
Can you be part of Alpha Squad and establish the research base, start important research work and survive your first few weeks?
This 6 session mission will challenge students, put their communication, collaboration and scientific capabilities to the test as they problem-solve through this scenario-based STEM activity.
Note, participants are expected to attend all sessions over 6 weeks.
This is suitable for students that have experience with Edison or Edison type coding (Scratch).
For ages 9-12yrs.
Please note change of dates as follows: Mondays 15, 22 February and 8, 15, 22 and 29 March.
