Road to Zero Spring School Holiday Activity: Direct your own TV ad

Event description

This school holidays, budding ‘tween’ directors have the chance to create their own road safety commercials using state-of-the-art technology at the TAC’s new Road to Zero Education Complex at Melbourne Museum.

During the half-hour, hands-on workshops, young road-users are put in charge of designing a TV advertisement about the importance of wearing helmets and protective gear while riding bikes, scooters and skateboards.

Participants use Road to Zero’s high-tech touch screens to collate their chosen footage, then apply music and special effects as well as a catchy road safety slogan. The finished masterpieces are sent to participants’ email addresses. Workshops are suitable for 8 - 13 year olds accompanied by an adult. Road safety themed activities will also be available in Road to Zero’s foyer area to keep younger visitors entertained.

Make a booking for this free school holiday program - each booking can accomodate up to four participants. Limited spaces will also be available to drop in.
