River Through Time
Event Information
Description
Discover the central role of the Parramatta River throughout the ages, from pre-settlement days and colonial times through to the present day, on this interactive program.
Using games and activities, participants will be introduced to the significance of the river catchment as a wildlife habitat and a resource for people throughout time. Then small groups will construct their own riverscape, each set in a different period, before touring each other’s catchments and comparing the results. Ideas for protecting the river into the future will be shared.
This program is suitable for primary school aged children. Carers may also attend, but must supervise any younger children in their care.
Bookings are essential. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time, for registration.
