Description

Rituals and Ceremonies - Reclaiming Rites

Rituals and ceremonies serve as important markers for significant life events. Our society today seems to place less value on rituals and ceremonies, to the detriment of ourselves, our families and communities.

We want to help you create ways to acknowledge, in your own way, the significant life events, such as the death of a loved one and other occurrences that matter to you. In the past, all these occasions were marked by a ritual or ceremony.

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Learn about the importance of creating and making time for rituals and ceremonies
2. Create your own ritual and ceremony that reflects your values and lifestyle for a range of occasions
3. Develop the confidence to put in place and share with others your wishes and new rituals.

The workshop will be held in the Centre for Care & Wellbeing, located within the Springvale Botanical Cemetery.

Please note: the September workshop includes an additional "Brave Conversation" session.
