Are the risks, regulations and worriers preventing you from starting or expanding your nature play? Unsure of how to get started or just want support to take your Nature play to the next level? This event is for you.

Content:

Discover how nature play and risky play both benefit children's development and learning. Discuss how to convince others and workshop how to overcome potential barriers to acceptance of nature play and risky play in your environment. (We keep the numbers small so you can discuss YOUR needs).

How to get started: what you will need, how to complete a risk benefit assessment and navigating the red tape. Practical ideas and insights from Kara, who has been leading children's nature play for many years. Lesson ideas and experiences will be discussed, along with curriculum links and Inquiry based learning applications.

Practical Hands on afternoon: experience some Nature play yourself and see the experience through their eyes. Practical skills for some reasonable risk based nature play will be covered, along with an afternoon tea treat!

Over two afternoons you will hear from Lisa and Kara about the latest research linking reasonable risk taking to healthy child development and the benefits of nature pedagogy, as well as practical skills to work confidently with children in natural bushland settings. Make new friends and join the growing Hobart nature play network.

If you have dietary requirments you MUST email them to thereseilienceco@iinet.net.au at the time of booking.

See you there!
