Australian Red Cross Migration Support Program warmly invite you to attend the FREE Regional Practitioner Forum for people assisting asylum seekers and refugees to feel supported and secure in regional communities.

Migrants experience of regional living can be affected by the limits of available services, but at the same time it also provides environmental and cultural resources that encourage resilience and enterprise. The story of successful regional migration settlement is one of collaboration, hard work and innovation.

A Practitioner Forum is based on the experience of what is working, and what is not. It an opportunity to share the differences that individuals and teams and communities are making for people transitioning to regional living. You will be fully involved in discussions throughout the program and receive a comprehensive record of the discussions, examples and ideas as well as recommendations coming forth from participating.

  • Attendance is free however places are limited.
  • Cultural and health dietary needs will be fully catered
  • CSU has a Islamic Prayer Room available

Accomodation arrangements are not facilitated by the forum organisers, however a list of accomodation options can be provided

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Wagga can be accessed by Road and Train and Flights from Sydney and Melbourne and Regional Centres on the Hume, Olympic and Sturt Highways and Boomerang way.

Busabout Provides Bus services that visit the CSU Campus during the day. Arrangements will be made for returning to Accomodation in Wagga after the evening session.

There is off street parking in designated University carparks around the venue, however no parking immediately adjacenty to the venue. Wide Path access with ramps are available and special disability parking and drop off at the back of the Convention Centre.
