The best way to get loose on a weekend...meditate of course!

About this event

In the first hour you'll be gently guided through 3 mindfulness meditations.  You'll be relaxed but alert. We'll bring full awareness to your physical and emotional state, supercharging our awareness. By the end of the meditations you'll reach a state of deep relaxation, from your head to your toes and every cell in between. 

Our coffee's will arrive at 10:30 and we'll talk about how you can bring mindfulness into your daily life in other ways. It's always nice to connect with new people in your community and with a facilitated discussion we'll take the awkwardness out of it for you. 

You'll walk away from this event feeling, relaxed, connected, caffeinated, and maybe even inspired to add more mindfulness into your day. 

Open to all meditation levels, beginners to advanced. No previous experience required.

Cost $25 includes coffee (or tea). We'll take orders as you arrive.

 

Details on the day

Please arrive from 9:20 for a 9:30 prompt start.

You might like to go for a walk around the lake before the class. Movement before meditation is always a good idea. There is a bridge to bridge 5km walk which should take you about 1hr from the venue.

Parking

Please note, the closet streets are paid parking on a Sunday. Coins and C/C's accepted in machines. Walk a little further and you might find yourself a free park.

What to bring

  • Yoga mat if you have one, we have some extra mats
  • Warm clothing. Socks and layers always a good idea. This class is in doors. 
  • Cushion for extra comfort
  • Water if you wish

Deanne Brennan is Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, Life Coach and Remedial Massage Therapist. Dee recently returned to Canberra from teaching mindfulness in the Middle East. Dee's passion is in helping people return to their optimal health. She appreciates a good coffee and her favourite part of the day is the froth on her cappuccino.
