Description

The International Association of Business Communicators NSW is delighted to announce its gala event for 2017; a highly interactive ‘fishbowl’ conversation: Riding the tide of change.

Communication and marketing is blurring, digital disruption is having far reaching consequences, internal and external communication practices are diverging or converging dependant on who you ask, marketing is being polarised, strategy is being undermined, change is accelerating, organisations and individuals are wrestling with new ways of working and practitioners are still grappling to have a place at the top table.

IABC NSW has asked 3 respected communication industry leaders, who are successfully riding the tide, to discuss the issues impacting communications and marketing now and into the future.

About fishbowl conversations

Our guest speakers will be in the middle of concentric circles of chairs with one spare chair – this is for anyone in the room to take a seat to join the discussion and ask a question, then free up for another audience member. This is a highly interactive and engaging set up which allows for a wide diversity of thought (Questions can also be submitted via messenger for those who want to ask question but don’t want to join the panel).

Our panelists will get 5-10 minutes to introduce themselves and their opening remarks then open the discussion with attendees.

About IABC NSW

IABC NSW is part of a global NFP membership association, through the NSW chapter we support a diverse community of strategic business communicators.

Our speakers will dive into issues such as

· The impact of digital disruption in communications
·
Putting the humanity back in communications and marketing
·

·
The effect of new ways of working
·
The future predictions for marcomms
