The Department of Communications and the Arts is undertaking a review of the management of the .au domain to ensure it remains fit for purpose in serving the needs of the online Australian community.
The Department is committed to stakeholder engagement on internet governance and as part of this review is conducting a public consultation process. The Department will host meetings to hear stakeholders views on:
- the most appropriate framework for the management of the .au top level domain
- how to ensure that Government and community expectations inform auDA’s operation and decision-making, and
- mitigation strategies to address future risks to the security and stability of .au.
A discussion paper has also been released to seek views on .au domain management.
Interested parties are encouraged to attend these meetings and/or provide a written submission to the review. Further information on how you can get involved is available from the Department's website.
