Event Details

This two-hour fusion combines Restorative Yoga’s soft, releasing postures with Kinesiology’s energy balancing practices to shift and restore energy patterns within the body. It involves simple, relaxing techniques to create space for energy to flow whilst in various easy Restorative Yoga postures for an improved sense of wellbeing. This slow, nourishing meditative practice helps release tension, gently improve flexibility, enhance circulation and build awareness, connection and calm. The class concludes with yoga nidra for slowing down the mind and body, so you can rest, re-set and repair.

Susie Orr and Belinda Cunningham

Belinda is a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia and is passionate about sharing all things yoga. Yoga has captivated her since her eraly 20's and she enjoys the benefits of not only increased strength and flexibility but also the deeper reflection and awareness that the practice allows as it draws the attention inward to a profound mind body connection.

Having completed a Certificate IV in Kinesiology Belinda is presently studying Energy Medicine Yoga. She enjoys infusing her yoga classes with aspects of energy medicine and clinical somatics to help shift and restore energy patterns within the body and create space for energy to flow. Belinda has also completed training in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Clinical Somatics.

 

Susie’s yoga classes are influenced by her training in Bowen Therapy, Clinical Aromatherapy, Kinesiology, Restorative, Yin and Gentle Somatic Yoga®. She is a registered Level 1 (350 hour) Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia and as such, regularly attends continuing professional development training such as Donna Farhi’s SIJ workshop and Flo Fenton’s Yoga Asana Fundamentals, Yoga for Anxiety, Stress & Depression and Yoga for Back Care.

Susie’s passion lies in sharing the physical and mental health benefits of a slow, subtle, reflective and gentle yoga practice, promoting an increased sense of wellbeing by giving students peace, time and space to soothe the nervous system.
