Restorative yin workshop

Yin yoga encourages deep relaxation and helps to harmonise the energies of the body, mind and emotions. Longer holds in passive floor poses allow muscles to release and work into the denser connective tissues-the joints, ligaments and fascia. Range of motion and joint health are improved, as well as organ health and overall health and well-being. Space is created to develop presence of mind and self-acceptance. This workshop includes a nourishing sequence of yin postures to support the kidney energy, or chi; so important in a busy city lifestyle and at the the onset of winter, when winter chills can deplete the bodies' reserves.

The last half hour will be 30 minute guided yoga nidra. Yoga nidra is a freeing practice of deep relaxation with awareness. Residual tensions are released and the student embarks on a deeper journey to uncover inner serenity and bliss.
