Join us for a well-needed rest in the beautiful nature of Mount Samson.
A unique opportunity to learn and practice mindfulness away from the busy city life. This retreat will cover both theory of mindfulness and practical exercises & meditations leading you towards inner calm, presence and well-being.
Throughout the day you will be guided through a variety of different practices, including mindfulness of breath and body awareness, mindful walking & movement, mindful eating and sitting meditations. There will be opportunities to rest, relax and connect with nature.
This retreat will help you to:
Relax in the beautiful nature of Mount Samson;
Reduce stress and anxiety;
Improve well-being and happiness by learning to live in the present moment and cultivating self-awareness;
Develop positive relationships with yourself and others by utilising mindfulness based techniques;
Become more balanced and centred; and
Deepen your mindfulness practice.
Who is it suitable for?
This retreat is suitable for anyone who would like to learn about mindfulness, and bring positive change and transformation into their lives. No prior knowledge or experience in mindfulness or meditation is required. It will also help you deepen your practice if you have prior mindfulness experience.
Jon is a registered counsellor and mindfulness educator, who is passionate about consciousness and helping others to discover meaningful ways to live. He works with clients struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, mental illness and self-esteem issues.
He has been practising meditation and mindfulness for over 10 years and it has become an essential part of his daily life. Mindfulness helps him to live in the moment and be fully present with people he works with.
Jon lives in Brisbane and leads group and corporate mindfulness workshops in addition to his psychotherapy private practice, Conscious Beginnings.
What to bring?
An open and curios mind
Registration between 9:45 am - 10am
Morning and afternoon tea/snacks will be provided
Wear comfortable clothing
Please bring your lunch, water and a hat as part of the retreat will be outside
A full refund will be given back until one week prior to the start of the retreat (a processing fee of $10 will be incurred in case of cancellation). After this date, you will be offered the opportunity to participate in one of the future retreats.
