About this event

Delivered by two facilitators, this workshop will give participants the opportunity to:

  • Explore emotional reactions to cancer through experiential learning with simulated patient
  • Recognise emotions and apply frameworks to respond effectively.
  • Be provided with tools and language to build trusting relationships for better patient experience and health outcomes.

Cancellation Policy:

If you are unable to attend the workshop, you may wish to proceed with one of the following 3 options:

  1. Transfer into next workshop at no additional charge. To do so, you must provide written notification to ecc@cancervic.org.au at least 10 working days prior to the first day of the workshop. We will inform you about the next available dates.
  2. Nominate a substitute participant in your place in the workshop at no additional charge. To do so, both you (the registrant) and the nominated substitute must provide written notification to ecc@cancervic.org.au at least 10 working days prior to the first day of the workshop.
  3. Cancel your registration in writing to ecc@cancervic.org.au and cancellation policy below will apply:
  • Cancellation received up to 10 working days before the workshop date will incur a cancellation fee of $20.
  • Cancellation received less than 10 working days before the workshop date will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the original registration fees.
  • No refund if cancellation is received less than 48 hours from the workshop start time.

The workshop requires a minimum number of participants in order to run. In instances where the minimum number is not reached, Cancer Council Victoria reserves the right to cancel the workshop. The workshop fees will be fully refunded in the event of such cancellation.
